Kathleen M. Putiri

Kathleen was born in Gastonia, North Carolina and moved to Asheville at a young age. Choosing to remain in western North Carolina for her undergraduate education, she obtained a B.S. in political science from Appalachian State. After a brief stint in Boston working as a paralegal, Kathleen went on to earn her J.D. from Campbell Law in 2008. While at Campbell, Kathleen was a member of Women in Law, served as Vice-Dean of Delta Theta Phi legal society, and dedicated much of her time to service-oriented events.

Following graduation, Kathleen opened her own law practice, where she concentrated on real estate and family law. By joining Younce & Vtipil, Kathleen will now be able to practice solely in the area of family law. Kathleen finds family law to be a challenging and rewarding field and is working towards becoming a board certified family law practitioner.

Kathleen is an active member in the legal community of Wake County. She holds the position of Treasurer with the Wake Women Attorneys and is Social Chair for the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Wake County Bar Association. Kathleen also participates in many service opportunities through the organizations in which she is affiliated including ask-a-lawyer events, clothing and food drives, and mentor programs. Kathleen is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Even though her law practice keeps her busy, Kathleen continues to dedicate much of her time to friends and family and never turns down a game of parcheesi.
